It has fit the bill for our family. Our teenage son really likes the bed. In fact, he is even MAKING THE BED neatly, with all his bed linens and pillow neatly secured by the mattress strap. It nears somewhat of a miracle in our estimation.

Hello John at SmartSpaces,
I would like to say that your Murphy Beds are the greatest! Who said that you can't put memory foam in a Murphy Bed! AND... who said you can't get a King size!
With your advice and suggestions we are enjoying the best nights sleep we have had. We feel so rested, that we now go to the Gym in the Morning and Afternoon.
You just know when you made the right choice when you adjust to your new bed in just one night.

The installation was done by two perfectionists. They even ran the shop vac when drilling and there was no dust! It was incredible how meticulous they were in the four hours it took for them to completely install the king size Murphy Bed on the 4th Floor.
We have already had a guest visit us on short notice and while I answered the door Wifey folded up the bed. We love it! And our studio condo is now a Mansion!

We were having our basement finished which would consist of a family room, pool table area, and bar, but there wasn't enough room for an enclosed bedroom. When planning out our basement we had considered doing a sleeper sofa, but we had slept on other people's sleeper sofas in the past and always woke up sore and unrested in the morning. We didn't want to put our guests through that! A Murphy bed was the perfect solution for us because when it's closed it takes up just as much space as bookshelves and is a beautiful piece of furniture to boot! Our "guest bedroom" is actually in my exercise space. Simply fold up my treadmill and fold down the queen size bed and you've got a spacious sleeping area with a bed that's as comfortable as our master.

While designing my custom unit you worked with me to get a precise fit into my available space so that we could fill up as much of the wall as possible for the built-in look I was hoping to achieve. We selected your new Mocha color which was a near identical match to our bar cabinets and pool table that we had already picked out. I was even able to find wood window blinds that matched everything beautifully.

Your installation techs were courteous and helpful. They covered my wood floor while bringing in the Murphy unit, vacuumed the carpet after finishing the installation, installed my handles and knobs that I purchased from another supplier, and even let me pick out the light switch location for the built-in lights over the glass shelves. The unit is easy to lift up and down--only takes one finger! And the lights inside the bed area automatically shut off when you flip the bed back up. There is a strap across the foot of the mattress that I can fasten so that when the bed is upright my bedding won't slide down. I was able to hang a picture on the wall above the bed, which helps make the room look more like a bedroom when the bed is down. We are just so pleased with our new Murphy bed. Thank you so much! We are very, very close to having it all put together. When we are there, we plan to send you some before & after pictures just so we can all see just how much we needed this & how absolutely beautiful it is now.

We did have a teensy issue with one of the overhead lights. The square plastic cover just fell off unexpectedly. The plastic clip that holds it in place is broken and it just simply will not stay in place. Is there a way you could mail us a replacement or do we need to plan another trip out there or do you have your guys coming near this vicinity sometime in the future to drop one by?
